NZ Esports teamed up with the NZ Sim Racing Collective to host the NZ qualifying event for the Global Esports Games iRacing event.
With Hugo Allan qualified to represent NZ in the Asia Pacific (APAC) regional qualifier we were able to do something unique; broadcast the regional qualifier and support Hugo as he represented NZ on the world stage.
I’m stoked I could be a part of the commentary in that watch along as Hugo finished 2nd in APAC and earnt his place in the Global Esports Games in Las Angeles in December. Thank you TrackSpot.TV for bringing me in.
A more casual format than a typical commentary gig, with the team all completely bias in support of Hugo, it made for a really fun broadcast. Something I’d love to see more of in the future.

Massive congratulations to Hugo making it through to the final and earning the fully funded trip to America to compete.
Proud kiwi moment to see Hugo Allan qualify and to see the support for sim racing in NZ that goes beyond anywhere else, getting special permission to broadcast the races and providing the livery that made Hugo best dressed on the day.
