Introducing Hectic Motorsport News

This new project of mine – Hectic Motorsport News – is born out of my frustrations keeping track of sim racing events in NZ and international events kiwis are racing in. Everything has it’s own individual social media page and website to keep track of. There’s specific discords you need to be in to hear the latest. And so often events are only announced a short time before the racing starts so are easily missed. It’s so annoying.

It ought to be quick and easy to keep up with what’s happening in racing esports in NZ and beyond. And we ought to be better at celebrating the kiwi drivers out there smashing it. That’s what Hectic aims to be. Short sharp updates landing straight in your inbox so you never miss out.

If that sounds interesting then sign on up. You can always unsubscribe later if it’s not up your ally

Going forward I (MonkeyMatt) will be posting semi irregular Hectic News updates about all things sim racing so you never miss the big news items or upcoming events. Specifically you can expect to see:

  • upcoming NZ sim racing events,
  • celebrating NZ sim drivers crushing it internationally,
  • international events worth keeping an eye on,
  • and any and all other racing esports or motorsport news that jumps out as interesting for us motorsport fans.

It will all be in simple bullet lists so it’s quick and easy to skim through and stay updated on the news that interests you.

For the first edition of Hectic Motorsport News I took a look back at sim racing in 2023. By my conservative estimates over $20,000+ worth of prizes and travel was won by kiwi sim racers in 2023. That’s incredible.

Check out the first edition of my new sim racing newsletter for a quick recap of where that all came from and who’s been crushing it across NZ sim racing.
